FRANK BAKKER
Frank_Bakker
Frank Bakker is the face behind Yoga Haarlem. For more than 35 years he has accompanied many yoga students, beginner and advanced, with a personalised and professional manner.

Saswitha Foundation & Raja Yoga Institute
Frank Bakker followed his training as a yoga teacher at the Saswitha Foundation for Yoga and philosophy in Bilthoven. Under the expert leadership of then Director and successor of Saswitha, Jos Plenckers, Frank has carried out extensive work in Hatha Yoga. Jos was the one that Frank already in the second year of study are encouraged to go to yoga classes, and a position for him at the 2000 University of Haarlem. In addition it gave Frank yoga classes during various retreats and was a yoga teacher for employees of a large multinational, this was part of the internal project ' healthy living '.

After completing his training at the Saswitha Foundation Frank came in contact with Philippe Barbier (Ajita), initiator of and Professor at the Raja Yoga Institute. In addition to his previously acquired knowledge Frank also followed the training here to become a Raja Yoga teacher. This turned out to be a valuable step forhis classes by adding even more content.

HATHA YOGA
Hatha Yoga is a physical yoga variant. The body postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama) work on the body parts and promote your health. They have a beneficial effect on your muscles, joints, nervous system, glands and major organs. It also contribute to a natural balance in your metabolism and hormone systems. You will be less likely to get sick, have more energy and feel more calm and happier. Hatha Yoga helps with daily tension and reduce stress.

HATHA YOGA 2.0
Hatha Yoga, but we also do the lotus posture and exercises etc. The End stand where we do not accrue to the other classes in Yoga Haarlem. This is the most complete lesson. 

The word Hatha Yoga comes from the Sanskrit and refers to the balance between opposites. ' Ha ' stands for the ' Sun ' and represents the male energy flow: the active, the fire, the electricity, the mind (left brain). ' Tha ' stands for the ' Moon ' and represents the female energy flow: passive, water, magnetic, feeling (right hemisphere). With Hatha Yoga practices you stimulate a natural balance between the male and the female in yourself.

DHYANA YOGA
Freedom through meditation. That is the essence of Dhyana Yoga. We practice meditation techniques from different traditions and work including mantra, silence, visualization and affirmation. These effective techniques are easy to integrate into your current life and contribute to the integration of your personality with your soul (Atman). This creates a soothing inner peace and a deep sense of coming home to yourself. You rediscover a new balance of mental and physical level.

Dhyana Yoga helps you to reduce everyday tensions and stress. The meditation techniques have a beneficial effect on symptoms such as high blood pressure, ADHD and breathlessness. Also on a spiritual plane will experience more calm, there is as it were space between your thoughts. The "reset" of the habitual thinking contributes to a clear view of yourself and your life. Dhyana Yoga also opens your heart chakra and let love, inspiration and creativity flows. This allows you to experience a deep satisfaction and connectedness with everything and everyone around you. You change your own energy, which also your environment is positively influenced and improved the quality of your life.

YOGA LIGHT
Yoga light is there for anyone who wants to practise slightly quieter and more laid-back yoga. The exercises are based on Hatha Yoga but simpler in form. This makes Yoga light suitable for the elderly, people who want something less flexible or less intensive training. We work with physical exercises, breathing, concentration, silence and relaxation.

WORKSHOPS & RETREATS
Would you like to spend a day, weekend or a week long intensive focusing on yoga and meditation? Your knowledge and exercises to deepen even more? And with a group of like-minded people? Then sign up for one of our all-inclusive workshops or retreats.

We have a variety of programs with in-depth lessons, but also ample free time for reflection or private activities. In addition to the transfer of exotherische and esoteric knowledge we are mostly very practical classes. Work is underway to establish a group energieveld. This field is rooted in the unity consciousness, the light field, and has a strong positive and cleansing character. It is a source of insight, inspiration, joy and love. Also nature plays an important role. We make (silence) walks or meditating and practicing yoga. Our (day) workshops and retreats take place in great locations at home and abroad.

COACHING
Do you experience stress, anxiety or concerns and want to learn to deal with this? Are you looking for techniques to release tension so you have more peace of mind and quality of life experiences? And would like to do this in a private session during which your own needs are the main focus? Then our Relaxation-coaching is for you.

During these coaching sessions we work with traditional yoga techniques, such as breath and meditation exercises and focus through mindfulness. Also we are using autogenous training, a relaxation method for body and mind. In short, peace of mind and tranquility in your body.

Our coaching sessions are addressed personally and not in groups - an individual relaxation plan. We are still at some relaxation for you means and tools that allow you to get started at home. A typical session lasts about 1 hour and costs 60 euros. Call or mail us for more information.

SIGN UP
Would you like to participate in our yoga and meditation classes?
You can register for a block of 15 lessons for 165 euro (11 euro per lesson). To do this, use the registration form below and in the Contacts section. Power your halfway through a block in then you pay only the remaining lessons in that block. Then captures a new block of 15 lessons and start the new payment period. Pay the tuition on account number 0389465380 t.n.v. NL03 RABO Yoga Haarlem.

You will receive a confirmation of registration as soon as the registration form and tuition fees have been received. Unfortunately, money already received is non-refundable, however, the opportunity to missed classes to catch up. In exceptional cases, deviated from the 15 lessons card. This always happens in consultation with the teacher.

School holidays & Missed Lessons
There are no classes during school holidays, except during the summer holidays. Yoga Haarlem then has a special summer schedule. Have you missed a lesson you can catch up at a different time.


CLOTHING
For yoga and meditation exercises to perform as optimally as possible we recommend comfortable clothing. Preferably cotton. Training pants with t-shirt is fine. A dressing room is provided for those who wish to change clothes on the premises.
